Hosted by Tim Russell
Unsilent Night is a participatory sound artwork by composer Phil Kline, an ethereal, electronic soundscape played by the audience on boomboxes carried through city streets.
Each participant gets one of four tracks of music in the form of a MP3 or through the app. All four tracks played simultaneously comprise Unsilent Night.
Bring a boombox, portable speaker, or anything that amplifies music, loaded with one of the piece's four tracks. When we're all assembled, we'll push play in unison and walk down State street as the piece unfolds.
Download the tracks or download the app at: www.unsilentnight.com/participate
(PLEASE DOWNLOAD PRIOR TO MEETING UP)
Please arrive at Library Mall, by 6:30 pm, ready to "Hit Play" for the 7:00 pm liftoff!
The route will go up State Street and loop the Capitol!
This is a free, public event for all ages. The more participants, the better it sounds, so please invite your friends!
